Consumer law, which is applied for the regularity of commercial life and the protection of the customer in all areas, is extremely important in terms of protecting the rights of shoppers. First of all, it is useful to know what the concept of consumer is, who is covered by consumer law and in terms of the relevant types of cases.

A consumer is defined as a natural or legal person acting for commercial or non-professional purposes. In other words, they are people who shop to meet their own and their family’s needs without commercial concerns. Consumer law includes the protection of the person who makes the purchase for the final consumption of a good or service in terms of both defective goods and all other areas. A consumer, whether natural or legal person, is a person who uses a good or service for his personal needs.
